Agape Scholarship International Camps 2022

Beginning today and ending June 12, 2022, scholarship applications are being accepted for the Summer 2022 International Adult Camps (form is at the bottom of this page).

Anyone can apply for the camps as long as they are interested in the proposed theme and wish to participate in community life. It is precisely this being together that lays the foundation for a deeper exchange and encounter. An Agape camp is primarily a place for meeting, exchanging and sharing a life time together to discuss a current topic. Camps are a mixture of rest (little!) in a quiet mountain location, an immersion among the most diverse people and a learning context. You have to love all of these dimensions to find yourself well!

Agape offers scholarships to people of legal age who want to participate in international camps. We can reimburse the cost of your stay at Agape and travel expenses. All applications will be carefully considered. In particular, Agape gives preference to applications received from people who want to take part in all three of our international camps and/or also stay as campwork volunteers, but it is also possible to apply for scholarships for only one camp.

Criteria

Scholarships are awarded to applicants according to the following criteria. It is very important to refer to these points when filling out the application. Priority will be given toǝ applicants:

– Who have never participated in an Agape camp before

– who show interest in the proposed activities and are motivated to come to Agape

– Who plan to attend all three international camps

– Who can provide a letter of support from an organization or group that is already part of the Agape network

– Who will share their experience with others once they return to their community

What to apply for:

You can apply for scholarship to participate in 1, 2, or 3 camps while applying for work camp according to the following options:

A: Participation in 3 camps with living and travel costs covered;

B: Participation in 2 camps and campwork at the 3rd camp with coverage of living and travel costs;

C: Participation in 2 camps with of coverage of living costs;

D: Participation in 1 camp with coverage of subsistence costs.

*Please note that whichever scholarship you choose, visa and health insurance costs are not covered

In completing the application, please tell us how much of your trip you would like to have reimbursed. We suggest that you request a maximum of 90% of your travel expenses but, if necessary, you may also request full reimbursement.

Submit Application:

The application for 2022 must be submitted no later than June 12, 2022.

What happens next:

We will let you know the status of your application as quickly as possible. Once you receive your acceptance letter, fill out the form we will send you with your travel details as soon as possible. The Agape office can help you look for the best travel arrangements and can take care of sending official invitations or visa documents.

Getting to Agape and Refunds:

If you decide to make your own travel arrangements:

we ask that you please arrive at Turin airport. Arriving at Milan Malpensa is only convenient if your travel expenses are much lower (more than 80€ less). Please check the application and required documentation before you leave and bring us all receipts as soon as you arrive at Agape. Without receipts, refunds can NOT be processed. In the case of an e-ticket, please give us the receipt with the total amount of the refund you are requesting. You should plan to arrive at the airport on the morning of the first day so that you will be able to get to Agape between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm on the evening of the start of camp.

In this case, reimbursement will be made upon arrival, once you present us with your boarding pass or ticket.

Camp participation

Those who win a scholarship must participate in 100% of the camp activities. It is not possible to arrive after the start of camp. You should plan to leave on the last day of camp, generally in the morning, unless you are staying for another camp or a workcamp period.
