INTERNATIONAL CAMPS – SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Beginning February 26th through March 30, 2026, applications are being accepted for the Scholarship program dedicated to adult international camps in the summer of 2026.

Our scholarship program offers the opportunity to participate in 4 international camps that bring various reflections on current issues. Participation will bring you to the meeting with people from different cultures and backgrounds and will also bring you to the sharing of what you can bring to the creation of this community.

Sharing and discussing current issues is a fundamental part of what will become an unforgettable experience. Agape manages to take you out of your comfort zone but also to create utopias of a better world where diversity is embraced.

Also this year we would have the Ubuntu camp at the beginning of the 3 classic international camps. The idea would be to build in these first days of August a community that lays the foundation for the path that will then be taken in the next 3 camps and would like to create a safe space for those who spend it:

• 31/07 – 02/08: AAACE
• 02/08 – 06/08: Ubuntu International Camp – Deconstruct to make space. Rebuild to imagine together.
• 07/08 – 12/08: Theological International Camp – Religious Fundamentalism: Theological Roots and the Responsibility of Faith Communities
• 12/08 – 17/08: Oikonomical International Camp – Left/Right – Us, them and everything in between
• 17/08 – 22/08: Ultragender International Camp – MADE TO BE: An Invitation to Become

Agape provides scholarships for people over eighteen who want to take part in the international camps at Agape. In particular we would like to offer scholarships to people from the Southern Hemisphere and Eastern Europe to further their participation in our international camps. We can reimburse some travel expenses and fund the cost of staying at Agape. Regretfully, we are not able to meet every request for financial aid since the demand is greater than the funds that we have available. All applications will be considered carefully.

In particular, Agape appreciates applications from people who would like to take part in all our four international camps and stay longer as a workcamp volunteer.

CRITERIA:
Scholarships are awarded to applicants according to the following criteria. It is very important that you refer to these points when completing the application. Priority will be given to applicants:

• who have never attended a camp at Agape;
• who show interest in Agape’s activities and are motivated to come to Agape;
• who are willing to participate in three or four international camps;
• who can provide a support letter from an organization/a group that is already part of Agape’s existing network;
• who will provide a short motivation letter;
• whose expenses are in part covered by their organization/local groups
• who will share their experience with other people once they return to their community

WHAT TO APPLY FOR:
You can apply for scholarship to participate in 1, 2 , 3 or 4 camps according to the following options:
Enthusiast: Me or my organisation can cover the full costs for my participation
Full Scholarship: Agape covers the costs for my participation in 4 camps with living and travel costs covered;
Half scholarship: participation in 3 or 4 camps with Agape covering the costs of food and accommodation and the participants covering the travel costs.

For those who may want to participate in 1 or 2 camps only, you may subscribe directly from the website choosing the base fee for the camp

Ricordiamo che:

• Participants agree to take part fully in camp life and its study activities. Early departures and late arrivals are not permitted; in the event of an unexpected early departure, the fee is non-refundable, even partially. It is important to arrive and check in on time on the first day of camp for logistical and organizational reasons. Similarly, it is important to be punctual on the day of departure

• Each participant is asked to help with serving at the table and drying the dishes, both because it is necessary and because, for us, it represents an important sign of sharing the work.

• You will have the opportunity to speak with the staff at the beginning of camp if you believe you have any medical conditions that may affect your participation in camp activities. We would love to meet you and chat with you in the months leading up to camp. • A short trip is planned during the camp: therefore, a windbreaker, hiking boots (or sturdy sneakers), a backpack, and a water bottle are required.
