Agape is at 1,600 meters above sea level in Prali, a small village in the mountains, in the province of Torino. The Center is made up of a main building equipped with an elevator; on the ground floor there is a large hall (or “salone,” 300 m²), while the rooms on the first floor can host up to 25 people. Moreover, there are three smaller buildings (“casette”) with eight rooms each. Overall, Agape can host up to 96 people and is fully heated. The guests can also use a small hall (“saloncino” - 60 m²) to watch TV or videos, a volleyball field and private parking, plus large outdoor spaces.
The building and furniture are basic, which reminds us of the founding values of the Agape project.
Rooms
Accommodation in Agape is in bunk beds. Each room can host up to four people. There are five bedrooms in the main building and four bedrooms for each of the two floors in the smaller buildings. There are shared bathrooms on each floor.
Guests are given sheets and duvets, but towels are not provided.
In every building there is a storage closet with cleaning tools, which guests are welcomed to use to clean their own rooms. Agape cleans shared spaces and bathrooms daily.
Meals
Meals are served in the main hall, which contains numerous tables that each seats ten. Lunch and dinner generally include first and second course, a side dish and fruit/dessert. Only water is served during the meals; other drinks can be bought at the Agape bar before every meal. We pay close attention to the nutritional balance of our meals. Guests with special nutritional needs (vegetarian, vegan or people suffering from celiac disease, people with allergies or intolerances) should inform the Center in advance, and specific meals will be offered. Breakfast generally includes: bread, butter, jam, milk, tea, hot water, cocoa powder and barley coffee powder.
Meals are generally served at the following times:
- Breakfast: 08.30 – 09.00
- Lunch: 13.00 – 14.00
- Dinner: 20.00 – 21.00
Helping with “servizio”
Guests (two for each table) are asked to help with “servizio” at each meal. The people “in service” have to set and clear the table, dry the dishes and clean the hall after every meal, with the help and direction of people in Agape.
Helping with “servizio” is a simple act of volunteering that Agape asks every guest to perform, thus connecting them to the key concept of the Agape project.
Other facilities
Besides the 300 m² hall, there is a 60 m² hall and four smaller halls.
The main hall is furnished with interpretation equipment, with three booths and 200 headsets for simultaneous interpreting. An overhead projector screen can also be used. In the smaller hall there are a TV, a recorder and a DVD player.
If you have special requests or you want to use the equipment described above, you can ask the office.
Bar
Agape has a private bar for the guests of the Center only, which is open:
- 30 minutes before and after every meal
- from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m.
- from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m.
- from 11:00 to 11:30 p.m.
You will find non-alcoholic (coffee, tea, infusions, sodas) drinks, beer, wine, and snacks (sweet and savory). Agape is not allowed to sell spirits. All the items sold at the bar are selected according to the fair trade and 0-km principles.
Internal rules
The guests declare they have read and accepted the internal rules of Agape.
Group stays
In addition to the camps and events organized throughout the year, Agape can host private groups (min. 20 people).

- Free for children under the age of 2.
- Families or small groups may rent a 50 m² flat with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom (up to eight people).

Nei dintorni
La Val Germanasca permette di avere a disposizione un’ampia scelta culturale legata soprattutto al patrimonio valdese e al lavoro minerario storicamente presenti in questa valle.
Sono quindi mete consigliabili il museo etnografico-valdese di Prali (per informazioni 0121 807519) e lo Scopriminiera, un affascinante viaggio nella miniera di talco più grande d’Europa.
Le possibilità turistiche si estendono anche allo stupendo paesaggio naturalistico offerto dalla valle: è possibile praticare escursionismo alpino di ogni livello sui sentieri tracciati. Alcune delle mete più apprezzate sono la splendida conca dei 13 laghi, raggiungibile anche tramite seggiovia, il Lago Verde, Rocca Bianca e Bric Boucie. La società Nuova 13 laghi offre inoltre la possibilità di praticare downhill in mountain bike durante l’estate, mentre d’inverno è possibile praticare sci da discesa sui pendii del Bric Rond. La pista di sci di fondo si estende su un anello di 25 km situato nel fondovalle di Prali ed è una delle migliori piste alpine dove si svolgono campionati mondiali.
